Connect Google Workspace from /connections/google when you want Gmail-backed context in aura. This guide covers the connection flow, what the connector enables after setup, and how to recover if Google needs to be reconnected later.

Connect Google Workspace

Google Workspace uses a standard OAuth sign-in flow.

  1. Open the Google Workspace card from Connections.
  2. Click Connect.
  3. Sign in with your Google account.
  4. Approve the requested access.
  5. Return to aura.

After the flow completes, Google context becomes available from Home and the connector should show as ready on the Connections screen.

What Google Workspace unlocks

After connecting Google Workspace, aura can use Google-backed context for:

  • Gmail mode in Home
  • Glance when your day starts from email
  • Search when you want Google context included in direct lookup

This is the right connector when your work starts from Gmail threads, follow-ups, or recent inbox activity.

Verify the connection

Return to Connections after setup and check the Google Workspace card.

You should expect:

  • the card to change from Not connected to Ready
  • the action button to change from Connect to Configure
  • the Gmail mode on Home to become available

If the card is not ready yet, refresh once and check again.

Reconnect when needed

If the card shows Reconnect, the Google account link needs attention.

Use this recovery path:

  1. Open the Google Workspace connector page from Connections.
  2. Disconnect the current link if needed.
  3. Click Connect again.
  4. Complete the Google sign-in flow.
  5. Return to Connections and confirm the card is back to Ready.

Use Google Workspace after setup

Once the connector is ready, go back to Home and choose Gmail when you want aura to work with mailbox context.

Common next steps:

  • ask aura to find threads that need your reply
  • search for recent inbox context from chat
  • open Glance when you want a shorter daily email briefing
