Settings is where you manage the personal account controls that shape how aura behaves for you. Use it to review your profile, adjust appearance and timezone, manage password and passkeys, check plan usage, and sign out safely.
Use the Settings workspace
The Settings page is organized as a single settings workspace with a left navigation rail and one scrollable content column.
The current sections are:
ProfileAppearanceTimezoneSecurityPlanSign out
Use the left rail to jump directly to the section you want to change.
Review your profile
The Profile section shows your current account information:
- display name
- email address
- profile image or initials
These fields are currently read-only in the settings page. The page explicitly treats profile details as managed by your authentication provider rather than editable directly here.
Choose appearance
The Appearance section controls theme preference.
Current theme options are:
LightDarkSystem
Use this section when you want aura to match your visual preference or your device setting.
Set your timezone
The Timezone section controls the timezone aura uses for scheduling and time-aware experiences.
This matters because timezone affects features such as:
- calendar-related timing
- reminder scheduling
- time-aware chat behavior across the app
- other time-based workflows across the app
Timezone is especially important when you use aura agents in chat. If you ask time-aware questions such as what is due today, what is happening this afternoon, what should I follow up on this week, or what meetings are coming next, aura needs your correct timezone to interpret those requests properly.
Use this section early if times look incorrect, if your work happens across regions, or if you rely on time-aware queries in chat. After choosing a timezone, save it from this section.
Manage security
The Security section combines passkeys and password management.
Add passkeys
Settings lets you add passkeys for faster passwordless sign-in after you are already signed in.
From this section, you can:
- add a labeled passkey
- review saved passkeys
- remove a passkey later
The page also shows whether the current browser supports passkeys and gives you basic device details for saved passkeys.
Change your password
You can also update your password from the same section.
The current flow requires:
- your current password
- a new password
- confirmation of the new password
The page enforces a minimum length of 8 characters and warns that changing your password revokes other active sessions.
Check your plan and usage
The Plan section shows your current subscription and usage information.
It currently surfaces:
- current plan label
- monthly credits remaining
- daily AI usage against the daily cap
- renewal timing
- cycle usage progress
This is the section to check when usage feels limited or when you want to understand how much credit remains in the current cycle.
When you want more detail, use these follow-on pages:
- Credits to understand what credits cover and how to read usage
- Upgrade to Pro to compare plan benefits and pricing
Sign out safely
The Sign out section is the account exit point for the current device. It opens a confirmation dialog before ending the session.
Use this when you want to close your current session without changing any other account settings.
How to use it
The default path is simple:
- Open Settings.
- Jump to the section you want from the left rail.
- Make the change that matters now.
- Save timezone or password changes where required.
- Return later when you need to review security or plan usage.
The most useful early step for most users is setting timezone correctly so reminders, calendar views, and time-aware aura chat queries stay accurate.
Good to know
Settings is mostly about personal account controls. It does not manage connectors, search sources, or document workflows directly.
