Credits are how aura measures AI-heavy work across your account. This page explains what credits are used for, where to check your remaining balance, and when it makes sense to move to Pro.

Understand what credits cover

Credits are consumed by AI-driven work across the product. That includes the kinds of actions that need model usage, reasoning, or extra processing to return a result.

In practice, credits matter most when you:

• run repeated chat workflows
• use search and follow-up questions heavily
• rely on document analysis and grounded answers
• build a daily routine around AI-assisted work inside aura

If your usage becomes part of your normal workday, your credit balance becomes an important account signal.

Check your usage in Settings

The fastest place to review credit usage is the Plan section in Settings.

That section shows:

• your current plan
• monthly credits remaining
• daily AI usage against the daily cap
• renewal timing
• cycle usage progress

Use it when a workflow feels limited, when you want to know how much room is left in the current cycle, or when you are deciding whether to upgrade.

Know what the limits mean

The monthly credit balance gives you the clearest view of how much AI usage you still have in the current billing cycle. The daily cap helps prevent a single day of heavy activity from consuming the full month too quickly.

Together, these two signals answer two different questions:

• Can I keep working normally this month?
• Am I pushing unusually hard today?

If both numbers feel tight, that is usually a sign that your current plan no longer matches how often you use aura.

Upgrade when credits become part of your daily work

Most users should stay on their current plan until they start using aura regularly. Upgrade when one or more of these are true:

• you check plan usage often because remaining credits are getting tight
